Stage 1 Program
The Stage 1 program enhances the factory setup by adding gear position display and removing the transmission's torque limit. It also improves fuel efficiency in ECO mode, making it suitable for all types of drivers.
ZD8 Transmission Stage 1:
- Gear position display activated in D mode.
- Internal torque limit removed.

Stage 2/Stage 2 Plus Program
The Stage 2 and Stage 2 Plus programs focus more on sporty driving without compromising comfort. The transmission's adjusted shift points and clutch pressure enable faster shifts and reduced response times, suitable for all drivers, especially those who want better driving enjoyment in Sport/Sport+ mode.
ZD8 Transmission Stage 2:
- Gear position display activated in D mode.
- Internal torque limit removed.

- Slightly increased line pressure for high torque power.
- Modified D mode logic for better response, more comfort, and fuel efficiency in ECO mode.
- Reconfigured DEC logic according to M models: ECO mode equals Drive Logic 1, Comfort mode equals Drive Logic 2, Sport/Sport+ mode equals Drive Logic 3.
- True manual mode: M mode cancels automatic upshifting (effective in Comfort mode with DSC on/DTC on/DSC off, Sport mode with DSC on, Sport+ mode with DTC on).
- Allows low torque reduction in snow or mud to minimize tire slip.
- Faster shift speeds in DTC mode and DSC off.

- Activated drag racing mode: This mode extracts the absolute maximum from the transmission and significantly improves your 0-100 times! Torque reduction during shifts is completely disabled, shift pressure is maximized, and the clutch protection threshold is raised, putting all the engine's power to the ground. Drag racing mode is automatically activated in launch control and Sport+/DSC off mode (8-speed) or manual mode (6-speed). Normal daily driving comfort is unaffected. (*Please note that clutch wear is approximately three times higher in launch mode than in normal use.)
- Enhanced launch mode: This mode applies all pressure/torque to the wheels. To use launch control, park your car on a safe, flat, and straight road. Switch to S mode, and the car will be in Sport+ mode. Firmly press the brake, then quickly go full throttle and press the kickdown switch. In vehicles equipped with LC from the factory, "Launch Control Active" will appear on the dashboard. Release the brake, and the car will manage torque and traction to reduce wheel slip based on the new program. Enhanced launch mode combined with drag racing mode can improve 0-100 times by 0.7-0.8 seconds.
- Increased line pressure to prevent clutch slip, extend clutch life, and handle higher torque. (Highly recommended for high-power, high-torque cars.)
ZD8 Transmission Stage 5 Plus:
23. Adds 2nd gear start in D mode to the Stage 5 program for shorter 0-100 km/h times.
24. Enhanced launch mode becomes aggressive mode with increased shift pressure, improving 0-160 km/h times.
ZD8 Transmission Stage 5 Race Mode 0-100 for High Power Models:
25. Adds a specialized tune for high-power models for 0-100 km/h straight-line racing to the Stage 5 program.
26. Limits maximum torque in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears to reduce wheel spin at launch.
27. Increases tire grip with the ground during 0-100 km/h launches in 1st, 2nd, and 3rd gears.

ZD8 Transmission Stage Special-Comfort:
- Comfort mode: Improves shift smoothness as much as possible, reducing hardware-induced jerks.
ZD8 Transmission Stage Super-ECO:
- Super-ECO mode: Maximizes fuel economy in ECO mode to improve fuel efficiency.
